Cosmological constraints on unifying Dark Fluid models

چکیده

In the standard model of cosmology, dark matter and dark energy are presently the two main contributors to the total energy in the Universe. However, these two dark components are still of unknown nature, and many alternative explanations are possible. We consider here the so-called unifying dark fluid models, which replace dark energy and dark matter by a unique dark fluid with specific properties. We will analyze in this context recent observational data from supernovæ of type Ia, large scale structures and cosmic microwave background, as well as theoretical results of big-bang nucleosynthesis, in order to derive constraints on the dark fluid parameters. We will also consider constraints from local scales, and conclude with a brief study of a scalar field dark fluid model.

Unifying Dark Energy and Dark Matter with a Scalar Field

The standard model of cosmology considers the existence of two components of unknown nature, “dark matter” and “dark energy”, which determine the cosmological evolution. Their nature remains unknown, and other models can also be considered. In particular, it may be possible to reinterpret the recent cosmological observations so that the Universe does not contain two fluids of unknown natures, b...

Regular homogeneous T-models with vacuum dark fluid

We present the class of regular homogeneous T-models with vacuum dark fluid, associated with a variable cosmological term. The vacuum fluid is defined by the symmetry of its stressenergy tensor, i.e., its invariance under Lorentz boosts in a distinguished spatial direction (pj = −ρ), which makes this fluid essentially anisotropic and allows its density to evolve. Typical features of homogeneous...

Supernova Ia and Galaxy Cluster Gas Mass Fraction Constraints on Dark Energy

We use the Riess et al. (2004) supernova Ia apparent magnitude versus redshift data and the Allen et al. (2004) galaxy cluster gas mass fraction versus redshift data to constrain dark energy models. These data provide complementary constraints that when combined together significantly restrict model parameters and favor slowly-evolving dark energy density models, close to the Einstein cosmologi...

Constraints on dark energy models from radial baryon acoustic scale measurements

We use the radial baryon acoustic oscillation (BAO) measurements of Gaztañaga et al. (2008a) to constrain parameters of dark energy models. These constraints are comparable with constraints from other “non-radial” BAO data. The radial BAO data are consistent with the time-independent cosmological constant model but do not rule out time-varying dark energy. Subject headings: cosmological paramet...
